Description
Ancient Iranians built Qanats and Yakhchal to provide and keep water. The first windmill appeared in Iran in the 9th century. Iranians contributed significantly to the current understanding of astronomy, natural science, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy. Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī is widely hailed as the father of algebra.
Vacation tour itinerary
Day 1, TEHRAN:
Start Tehran.
Day 2, TEHRAN:
Free day to visit some of the many excellent museums.
Day 3, TEHRAN - SHIRAZ:
Fly to Shiraz, favourite city of the Iranians; visit mosques and mausoleums of Hafez and Saadi periods and monumental gardens.
Day 4, SHIRAZ - PERSEPOLIS:
Visit the impressive site of Persepolis, Darius' ceremonial capital; return to Shiraz.
Day 5, SHIRAZ - YAZD:
To Yazd via Pasargadae with its ancient remains.
Day 6, YAZD:
Visit Ateshkade Fire Temple, mausoleum, mosque and bazaars of Yazd.
Day 7, YAZD - ISFAHAN:
Drive to Esfahan via Mohamadiye and Na'in with its 10th century Friday Mosque.
Day 8-9, ISFAHAN - TEHRAN:
Two days to see the stunning capital of Shah Abbas; explore the squares, blue and turquoise-tiled colleges and mosques, with free time for browsing in the bazaar. Fly to Tehran in the evening of day nine.
Day 10, TEHRAN:
