Description
Ancient Iranians built Qanats and Yakhchal to provide and keep water. The first windmill appeared in Iran in the 9th century. Iranians contributed significantly to the current understanding of astronomy, natural science, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy. Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī is widely hailed as the father of algebra.
Vacation tour itinerary
Day 1, TEHRAN - KRMAN:
Meet and transfer to hotel. Fly to Kerman. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 2, BAM - MAHAN:
Early drive to Bam, en route visiting mausoleum of the great sufi and Shah Nematollah-e-vali. Continue to Bam visiting the dazzling clay citadel of Bam. Return to Kerman. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 3, KERMAN - YAZD:
Morning city tour of Kerman including Jam`e Mosque of Kerman Vakil Bazaar, Ganj Ali Khan bath and tea house complex. In the afternoon drive to Yazd. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 4, YAZD:
City tour of Yazd including Jam`e and Amir chakhmaq mosques, Zoroastrian Fire Temple, Tower of Silence, Dowlat Abad Gardens Lofty wind tower, City walls and Bazaar. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 5, SHIRAZ:
Drive to Shiraz, en route visiting old city of Abarqoo, including 5000 year old Cypress tree, Jam`e Mosque and ice-structure. Visiting Pasargadae if possible. Continue to Shiraz. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 6, SHIRAZ - PERSEPOLIS:
Visiting Persepolis and Necropolis in the morning. Quran Gate, Narenjestan and Eram Gardens and marvelous Shrine of Shah-e-Cheragh. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 7, SHIRAZ - ISFAHAN:
Sightseeing of Shiraz including Saadi and Hafez Tombs, Khan Theological School and Vakil Bazaar. In the evening fly to Esfahan.
Day 8, ISFAHAN:
City tour of Esfahan including Imam Square, Imam and Sheikh Lotfollah mosques, Ali Ghapou palace and Qeisarieh Bazaar. In the evening visit of 17 Century bridges.
Day 9, ISFAHAN - KASHAN - TEHRAN:
Early morning drive to Tehran, en route visiting Natanz Jam`e mosque, Abyaneh village and Fin Garden and Borujerdis House and City Walls and ancient Sialk ruins in Kashan. Continue to Tehran. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 10, TEHRAN:
City tour of Tehran including carpet and Reza Abbasi and if possible Royal Jewelry museum. Dinner banquet in a beautiful traditional restaurant. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 11, TEHRAN:
