Description
Ancient Iranians built Qanats and Yakhchal to provide and keep water. The first windmill appeared in Iran in the 9th century. Iranians contributed significantly to the current understanding of astronomy, natural science, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy. Muhammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī is widely hailed as the father of algebra.
Vacation tour itinerary
Day 1, TEHRAN:
Meet and transfer to hotel. After a late breakfast, visiting Archaeological and Islamic Museums. PM. If possible Jewelry and Carpet Museums. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 2, TEHRAN - AHVAZ:
Morning fly to Ahvaz, immediate excursion to Mesopotamian Ziggurat. Continue to the ancient city of Susa and visit Apadana Palace, Acropolis Castle and Prophet Daniels Mausoleum. Drive back to Ahvaz. Overnight in Ahvaz.
Day 3, AHVAZ - BISHAPUR - SHIRAZ:
Drive to Shiraz en route near Kazeroun, visiting ruins of Sassanid City of Bishapur and rock carving of Tange-Chogan. Continue to Shiraz. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 4, SHIRAZ:
Full day tour of Shiraz including Eram and Narenjestan Garden, Saadi and Hafez Tomb. PM. Khan Theological School, and Holy Shrine of Shah-e-Cheragh. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 5, SHIRAZ:
Morning excursion to Persepolis and Necropolis. PM. Quran Gate and free time for shopping in Vakil and Saraye-Moshir Bazaars. Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 6, SHIRAZ - KERMAN:
Drive to Kerman, en route visiting 11 Century old Mosque of Neiriz. Photo stop at Bakhtegan Lake. Continue to Kerman. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 7, KERMAN:
Early morning, drive to Bam, en route visiting Shah Nematollahs Shrine and Shazdeh garden in Mahan. Continue to Bam to visit the terrific Clay Citadel of Bam. PM. Return to Kerman. Overnight in Kerman.
Day 8, KERMAN - YAZD:
Half day sightseeing of Kerman including 14 century Jam`e Mosque, Bazaar and Ghanjali Khan bath and tea house. PM. Continue to Yazd. Overnight in Yazd.
Day 9, YAZD:
Full day sightseeing of Yazd: 14 Century Jam`e and Amir chakhmaq Mosques, City walls and Bazaar. PM. Zoroastrian Fire Temple and Tower of Silence. Overnight in. Yazd.
Day 10, YAZD - ISFAHAN:
Drive to Naien, en route visit Caravanserai also visiting cloak and carpet weaving workshops and old districts of Naien . PM continue to Esfahan. Overnight in Esfahan.
Day 11, ISFAHAN:
Full day city tour of Imam Sq. including Sheikh Lotfollah and Imam Mosques, Ali Ghapou Palace and Qeisarieh Bazaar. PM visiting Shahrestani, Khaju and 33 Arches bridges. Overnight in Esfahan.
Day 12, ISFAHAN:
Full day sightseeing of Esfahan, Vank cathedral, 40 column palace, Camel ride and Ali minarets. PM free time for shopping, etc. Overnight in Esfahan.
Day 13, KASHAN - QOM - TEHRAN:
Early drive to Abyaneh, the beautiful village, entitled to its architecture and dressing codes. Continue to Kashan; visiting Sialk ancient ruins and Fin garden and city malls. Continue to Tehran, photo stop in Qum. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 14, TEHRAN - MASHAD:
Fly to Mashhad, immediate visit to Imam Rezas holy shrine and museums. PM visiting Harounieh and Ferdowsis tomb in Tous. Overnight in Mashhad.
Day 15, MASHAD - NEYSHABUR:
Early drive to Neishabour to visit Omar Khayyam and Kamal-ol-Molk tombs. PM back to Mashhad. If possible, shopping in bazaar Reza and in the evening fly to Tehran. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 16, VARAMIN - TEHRAN:
Morning drive to Varamin to visit Jam`e mosque. Sasanid fire temple and Ala-o-Doleh tower. Drive to Tehran. PM free time. A dinner banquet at a very nice traditional restaurant. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 17, TEHRAN:
Transfer to international airport. |
