Description
The beautiful Alborz mountain range in the north, contains a collection of the highest mounts in Iran. "Damavand", the roof of Iran with a 5671-meter altitude, is a volcanic cone. "Alamkuh", 4850m and with forested slopes, has 850 meters of fine parapet excellent for rock-climbing. There are also many other peaks of over 4000 meters high.
There are mountaineering facilities to most of these peaks, and also perfect climbers with wonderful capabilities for many mountain sports.
Vacation tour itinerary *
Day 1, TEHRAN - TABRIZ:
Fly from Tehran to Tabriz, visiting Tabriz.
Day 2, ARDEBIL:
Drive to Ardebil and staying in the Sabalan mountain skirt (Shabil, 3000 meters).
Day 3, SABALAN:
Trekking toward Sabalan camp (3800 meters).
Day 4, SABALAN - SHABIL:
Climbing to peak of the Sabalan (4845 meters), and back to the camping Shabil.
Day 5, ARDEBIL - RASHT/ANZALI:
Driving to Ardebil, (Russia border & Heiran pass). Drive to Rasht or Bandar Anzali. Transfer in private villa.
Day 6, NOSHAHR - NOUR - RINEH:
Go toward Noshar and Nor. Drive to Rineh (2200 meters).
Day 7, GOSFAND SARA - TENT:
Go toward Gosfand sara (3000 meters). Drive to tent.
Day 8, BARGAH:
Climbing to 3th Bargah (4150 meters).
Day 9, DAMAVAND:
Drive to Damavand and free.
Day 10, DAMAVAND:
Climbing to the peak of the Damavand (5671 meters).
Day 11, TEHRAN:
Drive back to Tehran.
